The Baby Surprise Jacket is a wonderful introduction to the creative knitting mind of Elizabeth Zimmermann. Students will use a variety of techniques including increases, double decreases, picking up stitches, and making buttonholes while making a strange semi-flat shape which will be magically transformed in to a small sweater after sewing only two sleeve seams.

*Students need to bring a completed garter stitch gauge swatch (with their chosen yarn and needles) to the first class.* If you have questions about suitable yarn, please email Melissa before the class at LivingstonKnitter@gmail.com.

Kids Beginning Knitting

This class and pattern were designed especially with the beginning knitting child in mind. If you have questions as to whether your child would be better placed in this class or the Knitting 101 and Knitting 102 classes, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Students will learn many, but not all, of the fundamental knitting skills. Classes are kept very small and short (four students, one hour).

The price includes knitting needles, a tapestry needle, a choice of yarn color, and a choice of button.

Because the class size is so small, we are offering two different options for times: a weekly morning class, or a bi-weekly early evening class.
