Simple Summer Tweed Top Down V-Neck

A very basic top down raglan with almost no seaming required. Includes sizing / shaping for both men and women, and (despite its name) a crew-neck variation as well. It is designed to be a casual, loose fit, but could easily be made more fitted by increasing the waist shaping rows and choosing a size that fits more closely. The neck trim can also be left off for a more open v-neck.

Basic Hat

Beginning Hat

Students will learn techniques in knitting swatches, knitting in the round, knitting on double pointed needles, how to block hats without getting pesky fold lines, and also have time to practice in class.

There are two size options for this pattern: average adult and average youth. By the end of the classes you will have a warm wool hat!

Cost: $25

Prerequisite skills: casting on stitches, knit stitch, purl stitch, and decreases (helpful but not required)

Pattern: free - provided in class

Yarn: suggested - one skein Lamb’s Pride Worsted (no dark colors, please)

Needles: size US 8 & 9 in both 16” circular and double pointed needles

If you miss a class session and need to reschedule there is a $10 additional fee.

Do you want to learn to knit? Join us! Students will learn how to cast on, bind off, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, and basic increases and decreases.  These are the fundamental skills for all knitters.
